Our Viticulture
Jinglers Creek Vineyard utilises the start-of-the-art Scott Henry vine trellising system advocated by world-renown viticulturist, Dr Richard Smart.
The system maximises sunlight penetration and airflow through the grapevine canopy. These advantages - when coupled with periodic leaf plucking and bunch thinning - help us to reduce vineyard pests and disease, and enhance the varietal aromas and flavours of our wines.
Pruning, shoot positioning and harvesting are all carried out by hand at Jinglers Creek Vineyard. Our goal each vintage is the harvesting of small crops of healthy, evenly ripened, premium quality fruit. These are the essential ingredients for cool climate wines cast in a European mould.
Quality rather than quantity underpins all of our winegrowing endeavours.
